I purchased my Canon Digital Rebel XT at the end of March 2005 and searched our local bookstores and borrowed books from the library for a book to help me get acquainted with my camera and learn some photography techniques. I found this book to be the most helpful for a beginner. The information is delivered in an interesting, colorful format and it is good for both point-and-shoot and SLR digital cameras. If you're undecided about your next/ new camera purchase, you will find this book helpful as it describes the various pros of point-and-shoot cameras, compact cameras and SLRs.
I find that I'm always learning new techniques from this book as I return to it time and again.
This book contains four chapters on the use of Photoshop Elements. If you've ever bought any Photoshop software, you know how complicated the software can be. This book will take you by the hand with its introduction to Photoshop Elements.
A terrific book and highly recommended!
